This week, the contractor’s underground crew continued installing the new water main between the bridge and Chestnut Street. They expect that by early next week (week of 9/29), they’ll be able to test the first half of the new main for functionality and safety, while simultaneously finishing installation of the remaining segment.
In addition, the contractor made progress framing and pouring new curbs and sidewalks between the bridge and Wayne Avenue. They anticipate completing that portion of the work during the week of 9/29. The first lift of asphalt paving (currently a stone base) between the bridge and Wayne Avenue is scheduled for the week of October 6.
