Construction Update – 8/22/2025
In the past two weeks, the contractor has progressed with installing the storm sewer and water main east of Prairie Avenue. The contractor has also been engaged in the removal of curbs and driveways, as well as filling potholes along the existing roadway west of Chestnut Street. This work is intended to provide additional space and ensure a smoother passage during the construction phase.
In the upcoming week, the contractor plans to test the newly installed water main east of Prairie Avenue and continue with the installation of the storm sewer in this area. As the underground work nears completion, preparations to excavate and reconstruct the roadway between the bridge and Wayne Avenue will begin. These activities are anticipated to start after Labor Day, followed by the installation of curbs and sidewalks.
