Construction Update – 3/21/2025
This week, necessary tree protection fencing for preserved trees and construction signage have all been completed along Hazel Avenue.
Looking ahead to next week, the contractor will continue installing the new utilities between Wilmot Road and Appletree Road, while the second crew will continue working on the storm sewer installation near Broadmoor Place, working eastward.
Due to the size and locations of the pipes being installed, non-local traffic will be detoured. Motorists who do not live along this section of Hazel Avenue are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as Deerfield Road or Greenwood Road, to avoid the construction area.
Additionally, next week, ComEd will continue relocating their utility poles along Hazel Avenue, which may require temporary power interruptions. Affected properties will receive advance notifications from ComEd's notification system. Residents are encouraged to ensure ComEd has their up-to-date contact information for these alerts.
