With the service, authorized users can contact thousands of residents and businesses in minutes. Only authorized officials are allowed access to the system.

  • This system is an enhancement to existing means of communication and is supplemental to, not a replacement for, systems such as the Village's outdoor siren system.

  • Privacy concerns are paramount. The Village and CivicReady will never sell, trade, lease or loan any data about its clients to any third party. From a technical perspective, CivicReady utilizes multiple physical and virtual layers of firewalls to maintain data security.

  • The caller-ID number for calls generated by the CivicReady service will be from a phone number with area code 224. In addition, messages will begin with a Village identifier For example: "Hello, this is a message from the Village of Deerfield with important safety information". The message content will follow this standard introduction.
