It is estimated that over 90% of the businesses saved money with the new rates, especially those that take advantage of the recycling option. The goal of the franchise is to support businesses through “economies of scale” to lower the rates.

The terms of the contract including the rates, services offered (garbage/recycling/organics), recycling containers and customer service standards are established under the franchise. If necessary, Lakeshore will provide businesses with a service agreement as well.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems will bill you monthly for garbage and recycling services. Your bill will not include any additional fees or taxes from the Village of Deerfield.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems standard billing terms are net 30 days. Please contact Lakeshore at 773-685-8811 to discuss alternate billing terms. Lakeshore reserves the right to assess a late penalty of 1.5% per month on accounts that are over 45 days past due, and suspend service to accounts with a past due balance of 60 days. If garbage is no longer being picked up you may receive a code enforcement violation from the Village of Deerfield as well.

You will call Lakeshore at 773-685-8811 to report any service problems, request an additional pick up, or modify your garbage and recycling service including container size and/or pick up frequency.
