Village Announces Deerfield Energy Saver Sweepstakes

The Village of Deerfield is pleased to announce the launch of the Deerfield Energy Saver Sweepstakes to encourage residents to save money on their ComEd bills while also helping the environment.

To participate, households need to sign up for a free ComEd Energy Efficiency Program home assessment and submit their assessment confirmation to sweepstakes@deerfield.il.us to be entered into the drawing. Not only will participants save an average of $377 per year in electricity costs, but they will also have a chance to win fun, local prizes just for taking part in this no-cost program.

With a free, in-home or virtual ComEd Energy Efficiency Program assessment, certified professionals will install energy-saving items like LED bulbs, energy-efficient showerheads, programmable thermostats, pipe insulation and a personalized energy savings report tailored to your home – all for free. It’s simple and already paid for through your ComEd bill.

Here’s how to enter:

  • Sign up for the ComEd Energy Efficiency Assessment online
  • Email your confirmation to sweepstakes@deerfield.il.us by Friday, October 31, for a chance to win

As a bonus, residents who refer another Deerfield household to sign up and have their name included in the other household’s confirmation email will earn an extra entry.

“Deerfield is committed to taking innovative steps to help residents take action to reduce their carbon footprint and save money while supporting our local climate goals,” said Mayor Daniel C. Shapiro.

Prizes include a $100 gift card to a local restaurant, a Farmers Market reusable bag, Village mug, cooler and paperweight, native seed packet, ComEd giveaway bag, compost kitchen pail, a box of Hefty ReNew bags, an LRS coloring book, recognition at a Village Board meeting and a feature in the Village’s D-Tales newsletter and social media.
