Early Voting and Finding Your Polling Place

Tomorrow is the last day to vote early at Deerspring Pool for the April 2023 Consolidated General Election. Early voting hours are Monday-Friday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  

The Consolidated General Election is next Tuesday, April 4. Depending on your address and precinct, you’re assigned to a nearby polling site. For personalized voter information, visit LakeVoterPower.Info on the Office of the Lake County Clerk’s website.

Waukegan Road Water Main Replacement Starts

Early Tuesday morning, the contractor will install traffic control and lane closures for the Waukegan Road Water Main Project between Orchard and Greenwood, weather depending. These lane closures will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction, shifting traffic to the outside lanes. This traffic control will be in place until mid-June when the contractor is expected to be finished with the work south of Greenwood. Once completed, the contractor will move this traffic control to the north of Greenwood for the second stage of the project. 

This $4M project will result in the full replacement of the existing and aged water main from Deerfield Road to North Avenue.

Updates on the project will be shared via the Village website and interested parties can sign up to receive e-mail and/or text message updates on the project. You can also watch a video of a recent public open house about the project.

ComEd Free Energy Efficiency Program

The Village's Sustainability Commission has endorsed and tested a free Energy Efficiency Program that can save Deerfield residents an average of $377 annually! The program, funded by ComEd customers, offers a range of free products and services including showerheads, LED lightbulbs, pipe insulation, programmable thermostats, and a one-hour assessment to help reduce energy usage and save money. Certified professionals authorized by ComEd perform the program, and both in-person and virtual assessments are available.
