Walk Ride and Roll

Deerfield Park District Walk, Ride & Roll

Choose your healthy mode of transportation and hike, bike or roll over to Jaycee, Mitchell, Maplewood and Woodland Parks for "Walk, Ride and Roll" on August 26 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Try out some fun recreation activities and get your passport stamped at each park you visit. End up at Jewett Park where you’ll enjoy healthy snacks and more activities in the park.

Deerfield High School Labor Day Carnival

Save the date for Deerfield High School's Labor Day carnival on August 31 through September 2. There will be rides, games, food and fun for the whole family.

This is a community event open to all in Deerfield and a fundraiser to support DHS student programs.

Deerfield Farmers Market Special Activities

Potato Head Day

Potato Head Day

Bring your kids and let them express their creativity at Potato Head Day on August 25 from 9-11:30 a.m. or while supplies last. The Market will supply potatoes and vegetables for kids to create their very own potato person. 

Apple Pie Baking Contest

Calling all local bakers - the Market is hosting an Apple Pie Baking Contest on September 8 at 9:30 a.m. 

Pre-Registration is required by September 1 online or in person at the Market. Pies are due no later than 9 a.m. on September 8. Judging will begin at 9:30 a.m. by a panel of celebrity judges, and winners will receive prizes.

Save the Date: Harvest Fest, September 22

Harvest Fest
Save the date for Deerfield's annual Harvest Fest and the first day of autumn on September 22! The event is taking place at Deerfield Road and Park Avenue.

Harvest Fest gates open at 5:30 p.m. – admission is free. The event will feature the following:
  • Live music from local band Not for Profit from 6-9 p.m. 
  • Annual Bags Tournament (online pre-registration required)
  • Free chicken sandwiches and lemonade by City Barbeque
  • Cakes and coffee for purchase from Nothing Bundt Cakes
  • Wine, craft beer and water available for purchase – alcohol available to ages 21 and older only
