Celebrate Pride Day at the Deerfield Farmers Market

The Village’s Community Relations Commission invites everyone to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Day this Saturday, June 21, at the Deerfield Farmers Market. Stop by their table to pick up free Pride-themed swag, explore community resources and learn more about local Pride Month activities.

Representatives from PFLAG Northern Illinois and One Medical will also be on hand to share information and support for all members of the community.

Keep Deerfield Safe: Leash Your Dog

For the safety of all residents, both two- and four-legged, the Village of Deerfield reminds pet owners of the importance of following local leash laws.

Village ordinance requires that all dogs be securely confined on a leash no longer than six feet when outside, and under the control of a person capable of managing the dog’s behavior at all times. Dogs should never be allowed to roam freely or be confined in a way that allows them to escape.

Leashing your dog isn’t just a legal requirement — it’s a vital step in protecting your pet, your neighbors and the community as a whole. Thank you for being a responsible pet owner.
