Yard Waste Collection Begins Next Week

LRS will resume yard waste collection on April 1. This service is seasonal, and will run through the week of December 15. Yard waste stickers will be needed for bag service, and may be purchased at the same retailers that currently sell stickers. A sticker is not required for yard waste placed in the compost container. Stickers cost $3.22 each.

Distracted Driving Awareness Month

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month and the Deerfield Police Department, along with more than 200 local law enforcement agencies, will conduct specialized traffic enforcement throughout the month with the main focus being distracted driving violations. Cell phone use in anything other than hands-free mode is dangerous and illegal in the State of Illinois. Your safety is worth more than any notification. Pay attention or pay the price. The Illinois distracted driving campaign is funded with federal traffic safety grant funds administered by IDOT.
