Buckthorn and Healthy Hedges Program

The Sustainability Commission and Lake County Forest Preserves will host a Buckthorn Removal and Healthy Hedges program on Saturday, October 14, at Village Hall from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Lake County Forest Preserves Manager of Restoration Ecology, Matt Ueltzen, will help participants discover effective techniques for tackling invasive buckthorn and exploring native alternatives.

Do I Need a Building Permit for That?

Obtaining a building permit is the law. Both the State of Illinois and Village ordinance requires that permits be obtained for certain types of work. Permits provide a legal record of work performed.

Winter Market Vendors Wanted

Calling all vendors! The Village of Deerfield and DBR Chamber of Commerce's annual Winter Market will be held on Saturday, December 2, at The Patty Turner Center! Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours

Get your costumes ready, Halloween is just around the corner. Designated trick-or-treat hours are 3:30 to 7 p.m. on October 31. Residents should turn on exterior lights to show they are welcoming trick-or-treaters during that time.
