Downtown Tree Lighting Wednesday

Kickoff the holiday season at the Village’s Downtown Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, November 23, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Deerfield Village Centre Plaza between Starbucks and Bobby’s Deerfield, presented by the Village of Deerfield and DBR Chamber of Commerce.

Join Mayor Daniel C. Shapiro and local businesses for free treats and entertainment as downtown Deerfield is lit up with holiday lights. Complimentary holiday beverages and snacks will be provided by local businesses while attendees are entertained by holiday music.

Mayor Shapiro will plug in the lights at 5:30 p.m., but arrive early with your family and friends for the festivities.

Fall Leaf Collection Schedule Change

Due to Thanksgiving, Public Works will only collect leaves on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Crews will still service all properties next week. Residents should have their leave to the curb by Monday morning if they want them to be collected.

Regular collection will resume for the final week of collection. Please remember to place your leaves at the curb line and not in the roadway.

The Village of Deerfield Sustainability Commission invites you to join us for a one-hour interactive discussion to learn about the municipal water supply this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Deerfield Public Library.

Cram A Cruiser November 19

It's that time of year for giving! Deerfield Police Department is hosting Cram A Cruiser food and supply drive in support of Midwest Veterans Closet. This event will take place on Saturday, November 19, at Jewel-Osco from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
