COVID-19 Case Increase in Illinois and Lake County
The Illinois Department of Public Health today announced 128 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across Illinois.
Currently, IDPH is reporting 288 cases in 17 counties in Illinois. Cases have occurred in ages 9 to 99. Cases by county can be found on the IDPH website, as well as a list of local health departments who will have the most up to date information. As of March 18, 2020, at 3 p.m., Lake County reported 22 positive cases.
Today, Governor JB Pritzker announced the creation of a centralized state website detailing the state’s evolving response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The website includes news, prevention information, preparation efforts, FAQs, resources and more information about coronavirus. The state’s new website is available here.
