Fall Leaf Collection Extended through November 27

Leaf Collection

November 22 Update: Next week will be the final three days of collection from Monday, November 25 through Wednesday, November 27. There is no pickup schedule for next week, and Public Works will only make one pass per house. To ensure your leaves are collected, all piles must be at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on Monday. If you have leaves remaining after the end of the program, you may place them in yard waste bags for collection by Waste Management. Yard waste must be affixed with a sticker - get more information here.

November 13 Update: Due to unfavorable weather conditions, leaf collection is canceled for the remainder of the week. The program will continue Monday, November 18 with the regular schedule and will be further extended through Wednesday, November 27, weather permitting. Get more information and the leaf collection schedule map here. For questions or concerns, contact Public Works at 847.317.7245.

November 11 Update: Due to weather conditions, leaf collection is canceled for today, November 11, and tomorrow, November 12, and will be extended to Thursday, November 21. We recommend still putting your leaves out on your scheduled day, as Public Works crews will be out for collection as soon as weather permits. For additional information, contact Public Works at 847.317.7245.

The Village’s annual leaf collection program provides residents with an alternate way to dispose of their leaves. Residents may simply rake leaves to the curb or carriage walk line the night before their scheduled pickup so Village crews may use vacuum hose machines to collect the foliage. Get more information and the leaf collection schedule map here

Beginning the week of October 21 and continuing through November 21 (weather permitting), Public Works crews will make one pass by each house in the Village each week during the program. Please do not put out leaves more than one day prior to your scheduled pickup day. Leaves should be raked neatly, as close to the curb as possible, so long as they are not placed in the street or on carriage walks or sidewalks, which causes safety hazards to pedestrians and drivers. Leaves should be placed in piles no greater than 5' in width. If you have landscapers, please direct them to abide by the Village's leaf collection guidelines.
