Over the last couple of weeks (Aug 28 – Sept 8), the contractor completed the last of the water main installation for the project. With the completion of the underground work, all efforts are now focused on pavement and parkway restoration. The contractor also was able to complete the majority of the pavement patching in the center lanes.
Early next week, the contractor will continue to patch the center lanes and should be completed by Wednesday. To complete this work, the contractor will be required to pave through the Greenwood Avenue intersection, thereby limiting left turns during that time. This work is currently scheduled to take place on Tuesday from 9am – 1pm, weather depending.
Once the center lanes are complete, the contractor will begin working in the outer lanes which will require traffic to be placed in the middle lanes where patching will have been completed. Work in the outer lanes will include curb, sidewalk, pavement, and parkway restoration. The contractor anticipates being completed with the project in two - three weeks.
