Fine Arts Commission
The Fine Arts Commission fosters and promotes an appreciation of fine arts within the Village by enlisting and encouraging public and private agencies, as well as the general public, to support art and cultural events within the Village. The Fine Arts Commission consists of seven (7) members who shall be appointed by the Mayor by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The Mayor, by and with the consent of the Board of Trustees shall appoint one of the members of the commission to serve as chairman. With respect to original appointments, the Mayor has, with advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, appointed two (2) members of the Fine Arts Commission for a term of one year, two (2) members shall be apointed for a term of two (2) years, and three (3) members for a term of three (3) years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a period of three (3) years.
Overview of the Fine Arts Commission
The Fine Arts Commission typically meet on the 3rd Monday of each month. All meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the Communtiy Conference Room at Deerfield Village Hall.
