There are a variety of transportation options for Deerfield seniors provided by local government agencies in the Village. These include:
The Village’s taxi subsidy program is open to Deerfield residents aged 65 and older and to those with documented disabilities. Registered participants are provided with up to 50 one-way coupons each month worth $5.00 per trip. When a coupon is provided, in-town trips cost the rider only $1.00. For out of town trips, presenting a coupon will take $5.00 off of the metered fare. As of August 1, 2016, trips to/from the airport are no longer covered by this program.
The Village works with American Taxi and 303 Taxi.
