The Deerfield area is very fortunate in that access to Chicago's downtown area (the Loop) is as close as the two Metra Milwaukee road train stations which are both located in Deerfield. Lake Cook Road is the major east-west artery through the most southern area of Deerfield. Deerfield also offers a Senior Taxi service to assist its citizens in getting around the Village.
Commuters have transportation to Deerfield from Chicago via the Metra Milwaukee District North Line Railroad, with two stations and parking for over 500 cars at each station. The Lake-Cook station area employers participate in a commuter shuttle service program which takes commuters to and from the station. The stations are both served by Pace buses. For more information about Metra's service, please visit them on the web at http://www.MetraRail.com.
