The Deerfield Farmers Market Information Booth. Beginning this year there will be one place to find answers to all your market questions, buy a market poster, get a free recipe or market bookmark, enter our monthly drawing, and even find special information from the Village. We’ll be all smiles at the North end near the market entrance.
DHS/Farmers Market Poster Contest – #4. CONGRATULATIONS Isaac Spiegel! You’ll soon be seeing Isaac’s brightly colored posters around town and be able to meet the artist and winner of our 4th annual poster contest. Isaac will autograph posters at our second market on June 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Isaac’s signed posters will be sold for $8 each and all proceeds will benefit the Deerfield Emergency Fund.

Grillfest. August 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or whenever the corn runs out. It’s FREE! It’s fun! It’s Illinois sweet corn! Need we say more?
Harvest Fest. September 28, 2013 from 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your family, friends and neighbors to celebrate the fall harvest! Music, kid’s activities and games, balloon creations, and so much more. For more info, click here!
Apple Pie Baking Contest. September 28, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Our 8th apple pie contest will be held in conjunction with Harvest Fest. Buy a bushel, bake your favorite apple pie from scratch and hang out with us as our panel of expert judges chooses Deerfield’s best! Download the entry form and rules here.
Volunteers
WE WANT YOU!! If you enjoy being outdoors, schmoozing with your friends and neighbors at the market, love to garden or cook, and/or just love our market as much as we do, then come be a part of Deerfield’s “funtastic” Saturday mornings at the market. We are looking for energetic volunteers to help with set up and take down of market operations, staff and be a resource at our new information booth, oversee kids’ activities, and assist with special events. Some physical labor involved.
