(Updated 2-7-2011)
Project Status: PLANNING
Project Start Date: To be determined
Project Completion: To be determined
Project Locations: Deerfield Road (Rosemary Terrace to East Limits)
The Village of Deerfield has received proposals from professional design consultants to provide preliminary engineering (Phase I Engineering Services) in preparation for the reconstruction of Deerfield Road between Rosemary Terrace and the eastern Village limit. Though the refined scope of the actual construction work will not be determined until the Phase I Engineering Services moves forward, the Department anticipates the project scope to include a full removal and replacement of utilities, traffic signals, and roadway.
In late 2010 the Village of Deerfield entered into an agreement with professional engineering design firm, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd., for the preparation of Phase I Engineering. The Phase I Engineering portion of the work will include a comprehensive investigation of all utilities, roadway geometrics, pavement conditions, bridge condition, green construction methodology, and environmental impacts.
As part of the Phase I Engineering services the consultant, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd., will be performing traffic counts and pavement investigations within the project limits over the next several weeks. This work is not expected to impact traffic.
