Project Status: 99% Complete COMPLETED
Project Start: March 9, 2011
Project Completion: June 2011
The Village of Deerfield is pleased to announce the completion of the Carlisle Avenue and Carriage Way Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project. The project spanned two construction seasons, the first starting in June of 2010 and ended in November of 2010. The second season began in February of 2011 and reached substantial completion in June of 2011.
During the course of the project more than 8,000 linear feet of water main, 4,000 linear feet of storm sewer, 13,000 linear feet of curb and gutter, and nearly 24,000 square yards of pavement were removed and replaced. In order to provide a stable base for the new roadway, the Contractor, excavated more than 11,000 cubic yards of earth from the site, which was replaced with compacted stone before the paving operations began. A new lighting system has also been installed within the project limits, which should be complete by the end of July.
The project was managed by the Village of Deerfield Engineering Department and was constructed by Bolder Contractors, Inc., a Deerfield based Construction Company. Only minor, punch-list, items remain to be completed which will likely be accomplished by the end of July.
The Village appreciates your patience throughout the course of this improvement. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Village of Deerfield Engineering Department, at 847-317-2490, and request to speak with someone regarding the Carlisle Avenue and Carriage Way Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project.
