2010 Street Rehabilitation Project

Project Completion: September 16, 2010

The Village of Deerfield is pleased to inform you that the 2010 Street Rehabilitation Project was released for bid on April 15, 2010. On April 26, 2010 at 11:30 am the bid packages were opened and publicly read.  After analysis of all bids, the contract was awarded by the Mayor and Board of Trustees on May 3, 2010 to Peter Baker and Son.  Construction began on June 7, 2010. The substantial completion of all work except for landscaping restoration shall be on September 16, 2010.

The project will be funded this year through a combination of Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) and Corporate Funds. The Engineering Department has prepared all specifications and contract documents and will be overseeing construction. 

The scope of work includes pavement removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, adjustment of structures and parkway restoration. Location #1 for this project includes rehabilitation of Blackthorn Place, Norman Lane, Walden Lane, and Colwyn Terrace. Location #2 for this project includes  the rehabilitation of Hackberry Road. 

 

 

 
       

Various location repairs will also be included in this years project. Residents aware of any damaged pavement, curb or side walk existing with in the village should contact John Guccione, Project Manager, at 847.719.7465 or by email at jguccione@deerfield.il.us. Inspections will be performed upon notification of any damaged infrastructure so that locations can be evaluated for inclusion in this year’s Street Rehabilitation Project.
