In March, 2011, the Village of Deerfield discovered the local presence of a highly destructive insect known as the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB).

The Village of Deerfield, Illinois is accepting sealed proposals for janitorial services for the Village’s four municipal facilities, Deerfield Village Hall, 850 Waukegan Road; Deerfield Police Station, 850 Waukegan Road; Deerfield Public Works, 465 Elm Street; and, Deerfield Wastewater Reclamation Facility, 1045 Hackberry Road. Sealed proposals clearly labeled Proposal for Janitorial/Maintenance Services will be received until May 31, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the Deerfield Village Hall, 850 Waukegan Rd, Deerfield, IL.

The Scope of work shall include the installation and maintenance of publicly accessible Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) charging stations at pre-determined locations for the municipalities of Deerfield, Glenview, Highland Park, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest and Skokie.

Every three years, the Deerfield Police Department conducts a survey of its citizens to assess their sense of safety and their satisfaction with the Police force. Residents have received or will soon receive notice of this survey via an insert in Village water bills. This survey can be completed online or can be completed on paper and mailed to the Deerfield Police Department.

In the first successful year of a three-year contract with MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (“mc2”), residents and businesses saved on average $366.
