One Book One Zip Code

The Deerfield Fine Arts Commission and the One Book One Zip Code Committee are hosting a presentation by Adam Schwartz, Senior Staff Counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) at Deerfield Village Hall, 850 Waukegan Road, on Monday, November 12 at 7 p.m. Mr. Schwartz's presentation will focus on government surveillance, privacy, the First Amendment and how these topics are connected to the themes of this year's One Book One Zip Code selection, Little Brother, by Cory Doctorow.  Admission is free and no registration is required.

Trading personal freedom for security is one of the main themes of Little Brother and a main topic of conversation after the popular author's recent presentation at Deerfield High School.
