Commercial Filming Regulation

In October 2013, the Village Board passed an ordinance to regulate “large scale” commercial film productions due to the potential for these types of productions to have increased noise, roadway obstructions and other nuisances in residential neighborhoods. However, the benefits associated with commercial filming are also recognized, and the ordinance is not intended to discourage filming or include provisions that would effectively eliminate filming in the Village. The ordinance requires adequate notification to residents and regulates film productions in a way that balances the needs of all stakeholders.
