The Wastewater Treatment Plant  treats and processes all sewage from the Village of Deerfield, as well as sewage from a section of the Village of Bannockburn and a small portion from the City of Highland Park.

The Village of Deerfield is pleased to announce that it has initiated project planning for a significant upgrade and/or replacement of our Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located at 1045 Hackberry Road. The existing WWTP has served the Village well for more than 50 years. We are now taking the necessary steps to ensure we can continue to provide wastewater treatment services to our community and to protect the environment for decades to come.

As part of the planning process, the Village is hosting a series of public meetings to provide information, receive comments, and answer questions about the WWTP, the planning process, and related issues.

A fact sheet providing general information about the Deerfield WWTP and the project is available below. Additional information can be obtained by contacting Director of Public Works and Engineering Barbara Little at 847.317.2490.
