The Deerfield Police Department has six Certified Car Seat Inspectors on staff.  The Inspectors can answer questions about car seats over the phone, give suggestions about where to place a child seat in a vehicle, advise what type of seat is needed for your child and teach you how to install your child's car seat.  

Due to the nature of our work, we only install car seats by appointment.  If someone stops by the police department wanting a car seat installed they will be turned away. We only install car seats for Deerfield residents, you will be asked to provide proof of residency.
