The Village of Deerfield provides water and sewer service. The Village also contracts with Waste Management to provide refuse service to residential properties.  Commercial properties contract privately with refuse provider. If you are moving into a Deerfield property, please notify the Finance Department to set up your utility billing account. The first step is to complete a residential application for utility service.  Businesses also need to complete a business application for utility service.

Utilities bills are due on the 1st business day of the month. There are several payment options available.

  • Automated bill pay, direct debit, is the best way to ensure your bill is received by the Village in a timely manner.
  • Cash or check payments can be made in person at the Village Hall during normal business hours. In addition, there is a 24 hour drop box located on Jewett Park Drive between the Village Hall and the Presbyterian Church.
  • Credit cards may be used through the Village’s online payment website, Illinois E-Pay. Please note that the Village cannot accept credit card payments in person or over the phone.  Payments can be made by MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. There is a convenience fee charged for using this system. The fee is not charged or collected by the Village of Deerfield. Click here to view the complete convenience fee schedule.

If your payment is late there is a 10% late fee applied to the bill.

If you are moving out of the Village or to another property within the Village, contact the Finance Department to setup a final meter reading.
