Membership consists of seven members appointed to three year overlapping terms. Duties: Promotes and encourages the artistic and cultural environment within the Village. Sponsors and coordinates events and activities which enhance cultural enrichment opportunities for residents.

The Fine Arts Commission fosters and promotes an appreciation of fine arts within the Village by enlisting and encouraging public and private agencies, as well as the general public, to support art and cultural events within the Village. The Fine Arts Commission consists of 7 members who shall be appointed by the Mayor by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The Mayor, by and with the consent of the Board of Trustees shall appoint one of the members of the commission to serve as chairman. With respect to original appointments, the Mayor has, with advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, appointed 2 members of the Fine Arts Commission for a term of one year, 2 members shall be appointed for a term of 2 years, and 3 members for a term of 3 years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a period of 3 years.
