50 / 50 Parkway Tree Program

The Application for the Fall Parkway Tree Program becomes available mid-summer of each year. When you have made your selection, fill out the Tree Order Form and return it to the Village, along with a check in the proper amount. The last date for ordering trees will be August 31st, 2016.
(Please note that the 2016 deadline to order trees has passed. The updated 2017 Tree Order Form will be posted early next year)
The Village of Deerfield is a member of the Suburban Tree Consortium, which enables us to obtain high-quality trees at competitive pricing. Most of our trees will be ordered from Wilson Nurseries, Inc. The trees that we offer in the program are 2” in diameter.

50 / 50 Program

The Village will pay half the cost of 1 tree per residence per year. You may purchase additional trees, however, provided that you pay the full cost for them. Your tree will be balled in burlap, guaranteed for one year, and planted by the public works department. Except for a few varieties marked “spring only,” trees will be planted in October. Watch your tree next summer and, if you notice any problems, call us so we can have the tree examined before the guarantee expires.

Research Resources

You may wish to do some research before selecting a tree for your parkway. Two websites that may be helpful are Arbor Day - of the National Foundation and Wilson Nurseries.
