History

The Deerfield Farmers Market was established in 1995 as a way to offer locally grown fruits and vegetables, and other fresh products to our community in an outdoor market setting. Over the years our market has become a fun communal gathering spot for Deerfield residents and a destination for those in neighboring communities.

Demographics

We are a weekly Saturday market that operates for 18 weeks during the growing season. Over 25 vendors participate selling conventional and organic vegetables, fruit, fresh-cut flowers and a variety of specialty products.

Local civic organizations hold weekly bake sales and other fundraising events. We host several popular events including our annual Grillfest, Harvest Fest and, back by popular demand, the Deerfield Police and Fire Department Cook-Off!

Find us at our Information Booth or wandering around the market making sure things run smoothly. We’re always available to answer questions or provide a helping hand.

Committee

Our committee is comprised of Pat and Tom Jester, Andi and Alan Berkowitz, and Joan and Brian Reed. Together with David Fitzgerald, Village Management Analyst, we work diligently to keep our market active and growing.
